Not wasting any time, the folks at SeaWorld Orlando have announced all of dates for their special events in 2015. Definitely interesting to see a couple of things coming back on this list and not that surprising at all for most of them.
Either way, if you're looking to get a jump on things in 2015 and wonder what could be going on when you visit, here's the breakdown of everything coming in the new year.
First up is the Wild Days event that runs for three weekends starting at the end of January and ending early Feb (Jan 24-25, Jan 31-Feb 1, Feb 7-8). This event allows for visitors to get up and close with animals, trainers and world renowned animal experts through interactive shows and other experiences.
A few dates of interest for this one are on Jan 31st, for the Wild Days Picnic that features a BBQ buffet, character appearances, music and other entertainment. On top of that, there's the Jack Hannah weekend, Feb 7th-8th, and features chances for breakfast and dinner with Jack Hannah himself.
Pretty cool stuff right there, even if this event is a little more low-key than others in the line up.
Immediately following Wild Days, it seems the park is bring back a Christian music weekend, which is an interesting thing to see, and hopefully it goes better than similar past events.
Running just two weekends, Praise Wave Music Festival runs on Feb 14th-15th and 21st-22nd. The weekend, according to SeaWorld, will allow guest to experience a day of fellowship & fun at SeaWorld, enjoy thrill rides and amazing shows, and mingle & meet in an atmosphere filled with Christian friendship. The festival will feature live performances by the hottest names in Christian music. Evenings close with an extraordinary, uplifting Shamu Show, created just for Praise Wave.
After that SeaWorld turns up the volume a bit and brings back it's annual spring music festival, but this time with a little twist. Blues, Brew and BBQ is coming back, but this time with a new name. Now called Bands, Brew & BBQ Honoring America’s Heroes.
The event this year starts on the weekend of March 7th and 8th, then continuing every weekend after before finishing up on March 28th and 29th.
In addition to all the bands, food and other festivities, this year they're putting a focus on active duty and veteran soldiers and will have various discounts and other savings for them and their families during the run.
At this time, the line up for Bands, Brew & BBQ is unknown, but as soon as it's announced we'll have the full list of who and when, so stay tuned!
Returning after that, the park is bringing back their annual Hispanic festival, Viva la Musica to celebrate all things from the Latin American culture from music to food.
SeaWorld’s own Executive Chef Héctor Colόn, has prepared a unique and authentic flare to the park for this year with authentic dishes and flavors from around the Latin American culinary landscape to make this event have a little something for everyone.
Viva la Musica runs Saturdays only from April 25th thru May 15th this year. As of this time, the musical performers haven't been announced yet, but once they are we'll be letting everyone know!
It's not surprising that things cool off a little after that since the very busy summer season starts to ramp up, but also because SeaWorld will still be celebrating it's 50th Anniversary. However, once the temperatures start to get cooler and we descend into Fall, it's time for Halloween. And that can only mean the return of SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular.
The event runs every weekend in October, and this daytime event for the entire family is full of silly, spooky fun. Find
yourself immersed in an underwater fantasy with whimsical pumpkin fish,
sea-themed arts & crafts, up-close animal encounters &, of
course, trick-or-treating.
And there ya have it, all the big events happening January thru October at SeaWorld Orlando. Sure, not all the details are known yet for some of them, but once they are, we'll be letting you know all the details and we'll even be on location first hand to check out some of the goings on as well, but more on that later.
As always, stay tuned for all the latest from SeaWorld Orlando, and everywhere else in 2015, right here or follow us on Twitter, Google+, Tumblr and Facebook for all the latest!
